Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving day at Bob and Amy's house this year. Here are some pics for those of you who couldn't be there.

As usual, we had way more food than we needed.

Ketchup on turkey?!?? Only at the kids' table.

A good time was had by all---even the dog got an after dinner nap.

It was a quieter than usual Boyd gathering. We wish everyone could have been there.

Senior Boyds Life

Senior Boyds Life

It's been a week since my last entry. In the meantime, we have moved in a small corner cabinet for my dishes and moved out the larger china cabinet. We moved in a small cabinet to put where the china cabinet was. We now have more wall space, more floor space, and more visual space in our living room.

I visited my parents yesterday and played Scrabble as usual.
Dad won in the last turn and, no, I didn't let him win.

I am prepared for 2007 birthdays. I bought cards and assigned them to specific people. I have no excuses for being late now do I?

I also started my Christmas shopping. I'm not telling any secrets. I also bought Christmas cards and am determined to get them out early this year.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

This is a test. (Mark, you said I could do this.) We'll see how it goes.

I've been sick all week but I've still had to deal with an out of the ordinary situation. Last week we noticed that we were having some nighttime furry visitors...in our bathroom cabinet of all places. After setting four traps in various places of evidence (oh, yes, they expanded their territory), we caught two mice, both in the bathroom. The time of death of the last one was 5:41 AM Monday, November 6, 2006. I heard the trap snap as I lay in bed postponing getting up. Phillip dubbed me the mouse coroner.

I then became the hazmat crew and began cleanup. Because I've been sick, it took several days of loading and unloading the dishwasher, vacuuming and scrubbing cabinets. The job was finally finished yesterday.

I guess that's all for now. I'm getting tired.
